Singers Sensation  Overview
SINGERS SENSATION  – The Las Vegas Student Performance Group  are a positive learning experience for our students, one they will carry with them throughout their lifetime. Our students will learn the meaning of "commitment" and "responsibility". They will feel a sense of pride at being in this very special performance group organization with a high level of personal and artistic expectation. We teach students to take their membership seriously. They are part of a team, with each member playing a vital level of importance.
Vocal Production / Singing Techniques

Our Students are taught to sing correctly. Student’s voices are very fragile and should be treated with care. Most students, who love to sing, do so with a lot of vigor and energy which is great for our program, but they must be trained correctly or damage can occur to their young, growing and vulnerable vocal chords. When they learn production skills that work, singing becomes easy and enjoyable. Directors are trained and have access to the latest techniques that are always being discovered about the human voice. Parents and audiences are thrilled to hear our students sing!

Rhythm & Movement
Students in SINGERS SENSATION  are taught to move their bodies and instruments to rhythm. As they sing, they learn to move at the same time, thus enhancing brain development and gross motor skills. Rhythm and movement and singing go hand in hand and students have fun while learning these skills. In teaching rhythm, students are often exposed to a myriad of different instruments; both conventional and created. Learning rhythm becomes addicting and exciting!

Music Theory & Ear Training
As students in SINGERS SENSATION  learn to sing, it is important that they begin to start learning music theory, ear training and symbols. These are introduced in fun games and presentations. Music theory and ear training is critical to a singer and we provide the basic foundation for understanding the beginning of reading music. Basic note names and values are introduced as well as symbols on the staffs. Musical terms such as staccato and legato are not only learned but experienced! Copycat singing of intervals and solfeggio is also taught in the classroom along with the hand signals that accompany them.
Theater & Drama Training
Part of being on the stage is learning how to control your body under performance situations. We use drama and theatre training as a tool to help children feel comfortable in front of any audience. Microphone use is stressed as well as diction, proper inflection and body language. How to use and utilize an enhancing prop is also taught and enjoyed in the classroom. Our twice-yearly concerts are a tribute to the skills used in their theatre training: the entire concert is narrated by the students themselves! Whether it be a book report, a science experiment presentation or a family reunion, SINGERS  SENSATION  students learn to perform and feel comfortable in front of an audience. Not all children will become famous singers, but all children will need to be able to feel comfortable presenting in front of an audience at some point in their lives.
Music & Classroom Fun
Our music is arranged and choreographed to fit student’s age groups and accommodate their young voices. SINGERS SENSATION  music is geared toward student being able to sing in a comfortable range while moving in rhythm. Rhythm is such an exciting thing for children, and can have a great effect on the developing mind. Music medleys are arranged with the careful consideration of style, range, familiarity, audience appeal and uniqueness. We try to expose children to all kinds of music so that appreciation is gained and education takes place. Music is carefully chosen by an experienced staff working to have the most updated, unique and exciting program available! Our students go home singing and are excited to return!

SINGERS SENSATION  Concerts
Concerts are produced twice a year: once at Christmas time and another one in the spring (generally in May). Each concert is a culmination of the material learned during the semester. Most often the concerts are approximately 75 to 90 minutes long and are narrated entirely by the students. Each student will learn and perform a minimum of five numbers and some are involved in up to seven. Students learn to come on and off stage with expertise and professionalism. Lighting and sound are used to enhance these audience appealing and anticipated shows!
