First of all, I am from and old town in the state of Utah called Trenton, Utah. My name is Shaun Jay Federico. I was born with my twin brother Shane kay Federico in 1971. I born into this world 3-month pre-micher I weighed one pound and had one lung and one testicle. I figured 1+1+1= 3 months. I survived and so did my twin brother Shane. Well, I was the age of 13 and I first heard "Black Celebration". I was hooked on the band Depeche Mode. Also, my twin brother loved their music. We started to go to their Concerts in Park City, Utah. Shane & Shaun Federico was how we introduced us to band members backstage. I remember David Gahn saying, I won't forget Federico, that's Italiano. So my twin brother Shane and I went out into the auditorium with was grass and a hill. So my brother and I became very close to the band members as we went to every concert on every album that was released almost every year. My twin brother Shane and I are now 46 years of age. We have seen almost 17 concerts, we always made it a competition to see who could get the cd first and brag about it. My name is Shaun J Federico and I have a more personal tie to the lead singer of Depeche Mode. I have taken the vocal lesson for 10 years and I like David Gahan but in a more broadway type voice. He was my idol or should say mentor that made me want to be a singer. Twenty years has gone by and I am back in school at UNLV in Las Vegas Nevada. Pursuing my dream that was passionately driven to become a singer because of Depeche Mode. At the time that I first heard them on a cassette player, I was I believe 12 and thought that this band was different and unique to a fact that is was alternative music style. I loved it and the songs of the Depeche Mode have raised me to become a better person and made me believe in myself that someday I will be singing professionally like Depeche Mode. Also, I stole from the target one year their Cd and got caught and charged with petit larceny in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CD would have only cost me $13.99 USA dollars. But it ended up costing me close to $1,500 USA dollars. And I didn't get the CD that I tried to steal. So this is my great true story about my relationship with the Band Depeche Mode. Wow, how the years have gone by. I would love to meet them on September 23, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada if it could be possible. The connection with Depeche Mode is not a personable as I would like it to be. But I am grateful for the experience and the growth thru those awesome years. Depeche Mode's music has changed the world and made it a better place because of their amazing passion, talent, endurance, change, and growth in the music industry
I would share my memories about Depeche Mode concerts that I saw. Also, I would share my thoughts about how wonderful Depeche Mode is today for youth.
Depeche Mode was my idol and my favorite band or group that I enjoyed listen and learning how to sing because of Depeche Mode. And that is why I would love to dedicated a page on the SSG-music website in honor of the band Depeche Mode. They helped me keep my dream alive and pursue happiness in music and develop a NonProfit Singing Group for Students in Las Vegas, Nevada. Still trying to get funding for my singing group. So I thank you Depeche Mode for making my dreams come true thru your music and passion for entertainment. I bow to you and commend you for your innovation and change in music history.
